COVID-19 Heritage Farmers Market Policy

HERITAGE MARKET POLICY.png

Dear Partners, Vendors and Community Members,

Just like you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). The health and safety of our market participants, employees, and vendors is of the utmost importance.

We are committed to doing everything we can to make your experience safe and respite when you visit one of our farmers markets.

Therefore, we've decided to raise our usual standards of cleanliness and health safety even higher.

What We Are Doing Differently: We have implemented new policies and procedures, which follow recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.

We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitization safety procedures with vendors in their booth as well public spaces in the market.

  • We will suspend sampling at vendor booths. This includes the pre-package food, prepared food and certified agricultural sections.

  • We will provide public, temporary wash stations through the market. Mainly in the food area. These areas will be monitored through the day for cleanliness.

  • Hand sanitizers will be located throughout the market space at selected vendor booths.  This also includes public touchpoints such as our information booth.

In addition, all Heritage employees are prohibited from reporting to work with a respiratory illness that can be transmitted to others. We will also encourage our  vendors to adhere to this policy as well.

It is our pleasure to serve the community.

"It doesn't matter if you're in a state that has no cases or one case. You have to start taking seriously what you can do now. Everybody should say, 'All hands on deck. This is what we need to do.'" World Health Organization (WHO)
